Great food, poor music

This place must have the slowest turnover of waiters in the country. They are all still there way back from Bedford Centre., and they all remembered me from 3 years back. There are no problems with service. From the professional reception right through. They have made noticeable improvements to the place inside and out, resulting in a great atmosphere. The food is still great. So why only three stars? Besides the pizza, they have become pricey - both on drinks and food. It also bothered me that no hard liquor prices are on any menu. So - gin, brandy, whisky - you have to ask or guess. The liter Marguerita we ordered had very little alcohol in it. My real gripe was the music at Sunday lunch. I used to love this guy's music, and he was a real entertainer about 4 years back. Now his guitar playing and singing has become lazy - with little regard to the original artist's efforts. Short cut cords, and mumbling lyrics in a monotone with no attention to the real tune of the song. And yet - with certain songs it seems he still has the range! So why? It was the first time that "Hallelujah" was talked to me. Disappointing. All in all - I would definitely recommend Vini's. Epis ribs - at a price, and great pizza - much cheaper. A summer evening outside will be just wonderful.
