I stupidly gave in to Jabu's phone calls after he forced a flyer on me at a mall. He wasn't there for the appt but I now realise it's part of their **** as he said no contract was required. A very nice Francis showed me around, then \explained\" the timetable. I have Fibromyalgia so Yoga is all exercise I could try, He put a typed page in front of me with R1000 joining fee and R599 p/m. I said I didn't want that & he scratched out the R1000 & R599 and changed it to R299. Another ploy. I told him I wanted to think about it and magically Vince appears. He said I had to take the offer or lose it. He was so glib & I fell for his sales pitch. I am hearing impaired & struggled to follow them. He took R150 cash from me but no receipt and he insisted I pay the R299 by cr card. He said he would swipe it for 299 to go off monthly & I believed him. BUT the next day to my horror he had taken R3588. I have exercised my right to cancel the contract within 7 days after 1 day. Now he is threatening to take 40% if I do. I HAVE cancelled but he doesn't get it. He promised if I wanted to cancel he would transfer my membership. Be warned of this person and his gym & rather join the ones we can trust."
