Doctors pushing for C-Section to claim high premium

On the 16th of July, 2022. My wife gave birth at Vincent Palloti Hospital Cape Town. Few hours before our babe was born, the gynaecologist informed us that the baby was in “breach position” and as a result my wife must give birth through the caesarean section. The doctor was highly persuasive that we agree to the c-section to a level that raised suspicions. Anyway, we agreed to the procedure and while we were waiting for the anaesthesiologist to administer anaesthesia. The babe came through and was delivered naturally. The doctor was so disappointed that it was clear to everyone in the wardroom. During our first doctor’s visit after birth, we were shocked that the doctor had on record that my wife delivered our babe through the c-section. I just need to warn all the families out there that these doctors from private companies are so pushing for the c-section because they know they will claim high premiums from our medical aid.
