Subject: Complaint letter

Dear Sir/madam (Vincent Pallotti Hospital) Gladly hoping that this communique finds you well during this pandemic stressing period. This communique is by means of expressing our disappointment from the service we received concerning my mother. It saddens my family that the hospitality and patient care that we received at this institution was not of the expected standard, passing of our mother in a non-appealing manner has left me and my family with no satisfaction from the service granted to us on the 23 December 2020. The healthcare professionals who attended us ware lacking competency, empathy and associated with negligence, reasons to utter such claims are as follows: Before our arrival at the hospital I personally made a phone call to *** reporting that my mother is not in a good state she is having difficulties in breathing/ shortness of breath, I was ordered to request an ambulance, however that was delaying as her life was important to us, I appealed to bring her myself, my request was confirmed by the hospital that I can bring her. So I did that as confirmed by the hospital. However, on our arrival there was not oxygen cylinder provided to her and no wheelchair instead we were instructed to wait in the car as if this was not an emergency situation. We were kept for long time without her being provided oxygen. The temperature scanning process took longer, where scanning equipment was malfunctioning, and still the matter was not considered as emergency. Being informed that there is not bed available yet, we understood that, but meanwhile the arrangement was being made for her to get a bed there was still no oxygen cylinder provided nor wheelchair. As we tried to calm my mother about the delay we experiencing the other sister kept on saying my mother is panicking she must calm down, before she passed away her last words where “my son you don't understand “ she said those words twice and then she passed away before bring assisted. I personally went inside and spoke to 2 doctors seeking for help I told them my mother is dying but they told me the nurse is preparing a bed, on my arrival back to my mother the other sister ran to the same 2 doctors crying “doctor please help “that's when they started to react and my mother died at the entrance,attached here is also her dearth certificate.

Therefore, we humbly request the institution to respond on this matter. It is our appeal that action is taken against this matter. We wish not to forward this matter on social media platform, but if we received no response, we will be having no choice but do so.
