They advertise themselves as an AI powered online broker at villiontrd.com

A bad actor in this scheme is *** who refers clients to an 'Account Manager' Adam Toth - cellphone number ***. Truecaller identifies the RICA'd owner of this cellphone number as THE BARBARIAN MAN.

This 'Broker' company sends their clients a PDF document which states that VILLIONTRD (Pty) Ltd is a legitimate financial services provider, registered at the FSCA with FSP Number 52538. (Line 71 refers)

However an online inquiry at the official FSCA website reveals that FSP Number 52538 is actually registered to a company called VILLION BROKERS (Pty) Ltd. The associated contact number for the Compliance Officer is no longer in use.

A phone call to the FSCA office confirmed that VILLIONTRD (Pty) Ltd IS NOT a legitimate, registered Financial Services Provider at the FSCA.

An email was sent to the ***** department of the FSCA which was allocated the reference number FSCA Complaint/Enquiry Ref No: 136315

The villiontrd.com website states that this company was awarded BEST BROKER AFRICA in 2022, 2023 and 2024. This is pure fantasy. In fact a google search of Villiontrd returns little or no results, and Villiontrd is not mentioned in ANY of the regular broker and trading publications.

The Facebook group **** ALERT IN SOUTH AFRICA contains numerous posts by people who have invested money with a Villion 'broker' or 'account manager' but have found it impossible to withdraw any 'profits' earned on their investments. All communications with Villiontrd are met with delays and frustration.

I personally challenged Adam Toth (via Whatsapp) and Gerald Willemse (via eMail) to explain the discrepancies in the FSP Number that they use and to provide proof of the brokerage awards they have purportedly received. They did not respond.
