Our deposit for breakage was not refunded

We booked at Villa shells in uMhlanga in Durban last year September with a guy called Michael. The booking was done via booking.com so we booked 5 rooms perfect paid the deposit. A day before our arrival I received a call from the owner that unfortunately one room was booked & those people paid cash. So I was very shocked but since we were a family & didn't mind sharing we agreed coz we were from different provinces & we were all looking forward to spending that long weekend of the 24th - 26th together. She still charged us R13700 even though it was her fault to book in other people while we had secured the rooms with the deposit. We went to pay the full amount before everyone else arrived so we agreed with the owner that we will share. So since most of us were from Durban some came to greet & spend a few minutes at the venue of which the owner was not happy about that & apologized for that but they were not even spending the night there we had a braai on Friday & she said only those who had paid are allowed in her apartment cool. So when we were charged they charged us R1000 extra incase if we broke something. Cool we left the venue & the owner was there seeing us out after a few days I sent her a whatsapp asking about our deposit she sent me pictures of things that were not in those cupboards that were broken. I asked her why didn't she let was know before we left & she couldn't answer that. I told her we never used her big pot coz she said she doesn't have a big pot so we went to a shop nearby to borrow a pot they gave us. She refused to pay back our deposit till to this day. The water in her showers were cold it was only one room from all four rooms that had hot water. We never complained but she is a ***** if u go there & pay the deposit forget it she will not refund u. She will tell u stories & send u old pictures that u broke things while u have not used. Be careful VILLA SHELLS IN UMHLANGA
