Vilamora nightmare

this was the worst service i have ever received. on Friday 28 OCTOBER 2022 AT 8.30AM. Firstly we were made to walk from Park station after patiently waiting for the bus at Park station to a destination outside of Park station carrying and pulling our luggage. I don't understand why there is no shuttle from Park station to Vilamora office where the bus is boarded. There are dangerous Paras all around as you to their office. We then waited a while again for the bus to arrive. It finally arrived at 9.30am this was supposed to be the 8.30am bus.

The bus has no aircons, no charging points for our phones, no entertainment tv or music and lastly NO TOILET!!

The bus also had no brakes. Everytime the bus stops or hits traffic it would refuse to restart. When we got to a toll gate it would take over 30 minutes for the bus to get air into the brakes and start again. This happened twice where the bus would not start for over 30 minutes. This was causing traffic for vehicles behind us as well. Eventually the bus driver stopped the bus at Montrose. We asked him when the bus stopped for the first time and made him aware that this bus has no brakes he must request another one at this point we were still in Johannesburg after being in the bus for 3 hours but we were still in Johannesburg. He forced the bus till it got to Montrose where we waited for 3 hours for another bus. People were paying to jump into other buses to get to their destination whilst there would still be transport upon arrival.

There was no communication from the driver, and no apologies whatsoever.

Worse I had booked a return ticket unfortunately. I noticed it was the same bus I came with that broke down that came on Sunday for the return. I told the driver that this very same bus got stuck 3 times on Friday we cannot use this bus again. He assured me the bus had been fixed and he drove it to Durban with no problems. We had only passed the 1st toll gate when the bus stopped again and wouldn't go into gears. I remined him of his words that he claimed the bus was fixed why is it doing the same thing it did on Friday. We waited about 2 hours for another bus. We arrived in Joburg after 9pm. My safety was at risk with all those homeless people who loiter around the station with us patrons as their target.

I will never travel Vilamora again and would not recommend it to anyone. Those buses are not road worthy. They don't care about the safety of their passengers, arriving late and not communicating and not even have a decency of an apology or organize food vouchers and water for their passengers. A pass-byer saw us in distress and returned with boxes and boxes of bottled water to share with us as we were sitting in the sun in the middle of nowhere waiting for another bus.

This bus must be permanently removed off the road.
