Laywers involved after 11 months no calls no emails

I had a consultation in Feb 2017, they entire year went by and now only they handed me over to lawyers for a amount of R380, according to what I know I paid cash on the day. The lawyers said that apparently I was contacted via phone numerous time(after they knew that I was in the USA) I get email notifications with the voicemail attached is someone calls and leaves a message, I never received anything, they said they email me with the account, I do not have any email of such as well as no post arrived to my address since I would have been advised by my address post. Now I've been handed over and sitting with a bad record for their incompetence to email me with the issue. Do they have any idea how difficult it is to get your name clear of something like this after a year of being in the red. so i'm now gonna pay dearly for their incompetence.
