Viagogo Is a Ripoff – Avoid at All Costs!

I bought tickets for Robbie Williams in Pretoria through Viagogo, and it was a complete disaster. The ticket prices were ridiculously inflated, and they slapped on a massive hidden handling fee that only showed up after the money had already left my account.

The tickets only became available 5 hours before the concert, and they weren’t even the seats I paid for – they were much worse. Trying to get hold of their customer service was a nightmare. There’s no number or email anywhere, and after hours of digging, I finally got through. They offered replacement seats but refused to tell me where they’d be, and then claimed the “seller” would compensate me €100 for the mess. Big help.

The final blow? When we got to the concert, we weren’t allowed in. Turns out, Viagogo isn’t even registered to sell tickets! We were told outright it’s a **** and had to buy new tickets at the door. The total cost? R16,000.

The only saving grace of the night was Robbie himself – absolutely incredible. But as for Viagogo? Here’s trusting Karma drags them by the b*@lls through the mess they’ve created and serves them a dose of their own ****my, ****my medicine.
