Un ethical practice by Viagogo - DO NOT USE THIS SITE
I wish I could give no stars. Bought tickest for UB40 concert on 2nd June in Cape Town 6 weeks ago , and received e-mail confirming seat number on 18th April. A few weeks ago I started messaging them, asking when my tickets would be sent. I received e-mails and phone calls assuring me that in the week before the event I would receive my tickets. Cutting a long story short at midnight on the 1st, (so I saw it mornng of 2nd), I got a message saying that the seller a “Nanich Tripizzi “( a person, ticketing company or a bot????) had released the tickets. I then attempted to access the tickets via Ticketmaster, early on morning of 1st. Unfortunately, I struggled to register on the Ticketmaster site, for some reason, it did not like the fact that I was trying to verify the account with my South African cell number, which is odd, since the event is in South Africa!. Because of the time difference, there was no one answering Ticketmaster’s phones in the US (California?) After about 3 hours of IT struggling, changing browsers etc, I finally got access to my tickets . This was very disruptive for my work, at a busy time.
The venue (Grand West ) is 90 minutes drive from my home and required some planning for transport and booking restaurants. Only at 18.00 ( Two hours before the event ) did I receive an e-mail with South African contact numbers for Viagogo. I was already at the event by then. A promise of getting your confrimed tickets in the week before the event is different from getting them less than 5 hours before hand, because some mysterious seller hand to agree to sell them. False advertising by Viagogo. My reasonable request taht Viagogo return my admin/ booking fee have been declined,
