On 12 September 2024, I attempted to book rugby tickets for the Springboks vs. Argentina match at Mbombela Stadium on 28 September 2024. While trying to purchase through Computicket, I was redirected to Viagogo. They gave me only 10 minutes to complete my booking for 3 tickets, which already raised concerns (a red flag!). The tickets were listed at R798.00 each, so I proceeded and paid R2367.00 in total.

The following day, I was finally able to print the tickets, but to my shock, they were under the name Kobus Berger, not my own. Even more concerning, the face value of each ticket was only R300.00, meaning the total should have been R900.00. I immediately checked my banking app and discovered that a whopping R4716.00 had been deducted from my account!

I reported the issue to my bank, stopped my card, and flagged the transaction as *****ulent. I then visited Computicket, who confirmed they had been offline for two weeks and suggested this was likely a ****. To ensure I could still attend the match, I went to the stadium to buy another 3 tickets, each costing R750.00. The stadium staff confirmed that the tickets I had purchased online appeared ***** and likely *****ulent.

I now find myself out of pocket by R6966.00. I tried contacting Viagogo, but every attempt to email them failed, as the emails kept bouncing back undelivered. This level of service is completely unacceptable, and I urge someone to investigate this *****ulent company immediately. I also caution others—be very careful when purchasing tickets through them!
