VFS taking applications they know will be rejected

Good Day,

I am copying this to both the VFS and DHA officials. I am very disappointed in the conduct of VFS officials. I submitted a permanent residence application on 1 September 2014 under section 27 (g) as my baby is a South African Citizen. I understand that the law has been amended and one cannot apply based on being the relation to a minor who cannot provide financial support and this took into effect in June 2014. I would like to know why VFS accepted my application along with a payment of R2870 knowing full well my application would be rejected because my relationship was with my baby who is a minor? I thought the purpose of VFS was not to be merely a post office but to advise clients and to make sure of the quality and validity of applications being sent to DHA. They should have rather advised me to apply based on my marriage section 26 (B) to a South African Citizen as I would have been married 5 years in February 2015 to an SA citizen.

I am highly disappointed as I now have to start the process and application all over again when I could have saved time by applying under the correct category to begin with. VFS owes me a refund!!
