Vfs' poor feedback leads to additional charges in flights

I app**** for an Indian employment visa File no ZAFJV00FFB17 on 28 April 2017 at VFS Indian Visas Johannesburg. I previously complained on Hellopeter about the lack of feedback mechanism from VFS on status of the application. This was on 1 June.

On 22 June I received a call from the consulate advising that the application may take 10-14 days longer. (Bear in mind that I already app**** at VFS om 28 April). On 28 June, the same day I was scheduled to fly to India, VFS advised that the Visa would take 2-3 weeks longer. So, firstly VFS takes 28 days to respond. Secondly, VFS and the Consulate give different dates. Thirdly, I cannot check the status of my aplication online (since it does not work) and the staff at the call centre are unable to assist.

This has resulted in me incurring additional costs on delayed flights and travel agent costs and great frustration and stress.

I would advise people to avoid VFS at all costs wherever possible. They are slow, *********** and disorganised.
