VFS Pathetic service

I have made 2 visa applications before through VFS and the process was so quick and easy but not this time. Firstly the information on the website is not up to date and even staff at the Cape Town offices acknowledged that. The staff at the offices were lovely and really assisted me well.

But that was the end of the good service, I made application on the 12th of August and we are travelling on the 15th of September. Staff advised you need at least 25 days, we PAID R7500! For our visa applications (this was without warning) but we paid it nonetheless. I also was meant to receive SMS updates which hasn't happened, the last email I received was the 17th of August to say my app was received in Kenya. Nothing after that. I've been following up regularly and get told by the agents that our passports are in Kenya. The tracking on the website says 'no records' when I try to track my application. I made an email inquiry today, got a pathetic response to say applications may take up to 45 days nothing else. I'm liaising with the embassy as well but I actually can't believe this is the kind of service I'm receiving.

We are so anxious we won't get our visas in time and miss my sisters wedding and we haven't seen my family since 2019.

There is actually no help offered, just get told that's the timeliness. Finish. Apparently its peak now but no one mentions when peak is or why say on the website 15 days is the cut off not 45 days?
