VFS and Department of Home Affairs the worst service ever

Vfs South Africa has the worst service ever. My brother has app**** on 13/01/2021 since then zero update, same thing with my application, since 27/01/2021 online tracking only saying “the application has been received” I called VFS but the lady said she can’t help me because VFS doesn’t control Home Affairs.

I cannot start the new year without a visa
