Very Alarming

I app**** for my permanent residence through VFS in March 2017. I was told it would take 8-10 months. I've been waiting 11 months now.

But that is not the main issue. I received a phishing SMS from a guy claiming to be from Home Affairs who knew my full name, phone number, VFS email address, PRP category app**** for and my PRP reference number. He wanted money to "speed things up." I called home affairs and no such person exists, which means it was a ******* who somehow got my personal information from VFS somehow.

Update: I got a response saying they would look into this and then silence immediately after. They gave me a tracking number but there is no movement or communication whatsover.
