Useless and money making scheme
I had to apply for my permanent residency through a VFS office and did so in Bloemfontein. Granted they said it would take 8 months but it has been over a year and after paying them over R1000 to 'facilitate' the process. I should have rather done it through Home Affairs for free and waited over a year.
My temporary permit now expires end of December and Home Affairs says I have to renew it in October if my PR hasn't come through yet.
So they expect me to pay another R1350 to VFS to extend my temp permit, maybe only for it to take another year to confirm ( like it has previously when it took almost two years but at least it was for free done through HA)???
It seems like it's one useless organization over another.
VFS is really useless because when you call for feedback, they have to email Home Affairs for feedback..
Money making scheme, waste of money and time. I have been here for 8 years with my South African husband and doing everything legally, but they are taking advantage. Losing patience over this
