Unprofessional

I am very disappointed with this visa application center. Our Flights had to be canceled due to a missing visa.What a lovely way to spent you Christmas and New Year. We had all the required documentation to apply for a Schengen visa because we booked a holiday to Funchal Madeira.I specifically ask what tipe of visas is required to travel from South Africa to Portugal, and all they said is that we needed a schengen visa. They did see the flight tickets that was already booked and it clearly state that we are flying through London.London is a Uk country and nobody said wait,you guys still need a Uk transit visa if your flight is not going to change.To be so excited for months, and at the airport to be told sorry you can't go,that is unacceptable. We lost so much money in the process. I am truly discussed with this.
