Still no study permit
I'm a post graduate student and have had no problem getting or renewing my Temporary Residence Permit through Home Affairs prior to this, in fact it took just a week. Since VFS has taken over i app**** for my second renewal only to have it denied due no police clearance' though I had app**** for it twice and there were delays due to postal strike and backlogs.

I appealed this decision -within the required 10 days and that was in December. It's now been 6 months and I have been unable to travel due to my current permit now overdue (I had 2 months valid when I app**** for what should have been a very standard renewal process) and am now stuck in with university requiring my study permit, and unable to attend conferences and workshops overseas due to this situation. My family and fiance live overseas and m under threat of being banned from SA for 5 years if I do leave before the process is complete) .

VFS simply says only DHA is responsible have me number of the person who deals with appeals and email address & have sent 6 emails in last 4 monthattaching the now 3 police clearances Ireceived in feb x2 and March, which prove I had app**** more than once, in sept,Nov, jan.
