RENEWAL OF PERMIT

Please can someone help us. My husband app**** for a relative's permit to be renewed in August 2014 and appealed in December 2014 because of one document that was missing from the documents. Till today we have had no feedback and we have exhausted all the channels even went to the complaint's line, but had no help.VFS said that the problem is with Home affairs and we wre given a number of email details to email through our complained but nobody contacted us. Instead we were approached by a home affairs official who said that we must first pay R16000.00 and then they will issue my husband's permit. We dont know what to do because we are now being put into a corner to say that we must eighther pay the money or we won't get the help we need. We don't know what to do anymore. TRA***.
