After numerous problems with Home Affairs and the outlook of a lost Visa application I contacted VFS Global in order to re-apply for my spousal Visa. I paid the required consultation fee of R1,350.00 before I was able to get an appointment. A few days prior to my appointment my initial Visa application came through and I cancelled my appointment with VFS. Since then I have requested a refund from VFS without any luck. Out of all my emails that I sent I only received one single response from a person called Rishen Lalla who advised that he was waiting for response from the accounts department and would revert back to me once received. This was on the 13th of July and the ONLY response I ever received. I have sent numerous emails to follow up with Rishen and phoned the VFS helpline without any help. On the VFS website it states that you have to download a form in order to get a refund but the form is not to be found on the website. R1,350.00 is a lot of money that I need to have refunded. I do not understand how this can take up to now almost 9 month for anyone to care about!! VFS is even more frustrating than Home Affairs. At least their service was FREE!
