PR applications June 2014 on hold?

I app**** for PR on the first day VFS opened the doors in Cape Town, its now over a year and the VFS tracking website still says: \received at the Department of Home Affairs for adjudication on 02-Jul-2014". I get the feeling that the first batches from June 2014 are treated as backlog and do not have priority. I think that because if you type in random numbers on the VFS tracking page than you'll find that almost all of them have 02-Jul-2014 or 23-Jun-2014 as date received by DHA.
