Please give us the right information

I called today and spoke to someone who I think said her name was Nonhlanhla. I asked her what are the requirements for a renewal of a work permit and she advised that I need to go to the Department of Labour for a certificate which is sent to Home Affairs. She did not tell me that the DoL has a list of requirements for the certificate and now I have to go back to them. Can you please give me the correct information - what do I need to take with to the Department of Labour for the certificate. Is a renewal treated as a new work permit application? According to the requirements on your site it is not but I have asked an Immigration Consultant who says these are treated as new applications so now I am completely lost, nobody knows what the requirements are and Home Affairs and Labour are not helpful.
