Permanent residency - rectification of date of birth taking months!

Good Day, last year September I have received my permanent residency after almost 4 years being in a process. My date of birth was typed wrongly. I have made an appointment, new birth certificate and everything submitted again. Since September I haven't heard anything and now all I am left with is a copy of my permanent residency and expired visa. Can someone tell me how much longer its going to take to swap literally 0 and 1 around in my date of birth? It's now 9 months and I cannot travel anywhere !!!
