Permanent Residence Permit Application

I app**** for my PRP last year in July and this month marks the 15th month. When I app****, the VFS reps told me that it would take from 8-10 months to get it.I paid over R2000 for this application and I haven't received any feedback on it's progress.When I logon their Website to track the application,it only says that my application was received by the home affairs last year in July and that's it.My study permit is about to expire and I'm really worried.
