My experience at VFS Cape Town

I happened to move temporarily in South Africa for study purpose at a time when a lot of change were being implemented in immigration laws and within the Department of Home Affairs system. In 2015 I was found trapped in South Africa without a valid visa despite the fact that I app**** for a visa extension. I had my share of ups and downs with VFS. I was sent back to Home Affairs, sent back to the website, I did not receive any reply from the information centre that showed evidence of the staff dealing with the problem as a whole, they only gave me \general\" answers, etc but in January I finally spoke to a gentleman ( Mr Nate ) who took his time to listen to my complaints and answer to my questions. 3 days later I managed to put together all my documents and I app**** for a visa that I obtained within the prescribed time limits. The staff has been very supportive and sympathetic throughout this stressful episode of my life. I know the service does not deal with the visa issues on a personal level but the staff is incredibly helpful sometimes and I am grateful for that. Thank you and keep up the good work."
