Missing Passport and Visa

I am currently waiting to receive my passport and UK student visa back from VFS. I have already missed my original flight because my visa didn't arrive in time even though I paid for it to be expedited via VFS. Now UK immigration has said that they finished processing my visa almost 2 weeks ago and returned it to VFS to be sent back. So VFS, where is my passport? What happened to the one day shipping I paid for? I have already missed new student orientation and classes start next Monday. This is appalling service.
