Misinformation and playing the blame game
Essentially VFS have now taken on a multimillion rand contract to 'facilitate' all visa/permit applications to Home Affairs South Africa. What used to be a free service for all now costs R1350 per application/appeal. I understand the need for costs but this also needs to correlate to efficiency in the system. By this I mean VFS MUST work with Home Affairs to speed things up, because as it stands applications are moving SLOWER than before VFS started. How can this be justified? If you want to gain more positive feedback you need to work with Home Affairs to create a better solution. Because the reality is you (VFS) are going to be judged on how fast people get their permits as you are the 'Visa Facilitation Service'.

Having VFS has also now shut down most comm lines to DHA as whenever you try to contact them they say, 'Speak to VFS'. This is not an efficient service.

I was told by VFS Staff my application would take between 6-8 weeks. It is almost 3 months now. The only response I got was a copy paste from DHA website (passing the buck). My problem is DO NOT GIVE FALSE INFORMATION!!

Time to work with DHA together and lift your game!!!!
