Life Partner Permit

I am a South African citizen and my boyfriend is from Angola. We have been together for 4 years. Last year,in June 2014,we app**** for a life partner permit and it was denied due to 'insufficient financial ability', we appealed the decision and made sure to include all the relevant financial information in the appeal. We lodged the appeal in November 2014 and we have still not received anything. I constant call their call centre and for the past 11 months they have been giving me the same 'backlog' answer. Vfs costs us so much money, the whole process is a financial strain and it is disgusting that they have the nerve to make people wait for almost a year for a permit. I dont think they even consider the strain that they place on families and their loved ones by making people wait so long, often causing some people to be declared undesirable!
