Italian visa provincial requirements.

I needed to apply for a visa from South Africa to Italy. When I booked my appointment there were none available in Cape Town, so I made use of a work trip to Pretoria to apply there. On Friday 14 Aug 2026, their agent showed me away, telling me to apply in my province! When you go through the steps on the website it does not say it anywhere. You can choose any of the centres! How must I know that in South Africa I am only allowed certain ones? Now I cannot submit my application and I will miss my conference and lose the flight ticket. This is completely unacceptable. To make it they told me to apply in PE where there is an appointment available, this while I was in a VFS office. So I must travel to PE, then they will courier my passport to Cape Town and back to PE and then back to Cape Town.
