Incorrect entry date

I Received my visa on the 21st of August, entry date on the visa should have been the 7th of September to Italy as indicated on my application form but incorrectly stated the 11th of September. When I took this problem up with the office in Revonia I was told the only solution is to get another schengen visa from the Italian embassy. This was a disappointing and stressful experience. I had to pay an extra R1400 for new visa, R60 for new photos and R500 for fuel. All of this was reported to Brenda Lubisi who has not been responding to my emails.
