*********** and Rude Staff

My husband has been attempting to renew his temporary residency visa. We started the process in good time (4 months before his visa expired). At every step along the way we have been met with incompetence and rudeness by VFS - on their phone lines and finally at our appointment at the PE office. Their staff continually direct us to Home Affairs, who in turn refer us back to VFS, There is NO clear, reliable information about the types of visas and the documents required. We have been running in circles based on conflicting advice from VFS and Home Affairs only to be told at our appointment that the visa we are applying for (spousal) will not give my husband the right to work. This is the visa we were previously advised to apply for. The process has been 1000 times more frustrating and significantly more expensive than when we got his first visa from Home Affairs 3 years ago. Furthermore, the PE office next available appointment is April! VFS claims they don't have the capacity but they are supposed to be the service providers here! VFS you need to shape up. This is the worst service I have ever experienced.
