Have been waiting more than 10 months for my visa

I app**** for a critical skills visa last year in January via VFS Johannesburg. My application was rejected because of a missing document which i was told to get within 10 working days which i did. I then lodged an apeal on 2 Feb via VFS Rustenburg since Joburg was full. When i app**** i was told my apeal was going to take 6 to 8 weeks to be processed. Nothing happened, after 10 weeks. I was then told it would take 8 to 10 months, still nothing has happened. I tried to liase with my employer but i had to leave work because my apeal is taking too long. I am stuck here in SA, am jobless, i paid more than R3500 for both applications to VFS and to obtain the required documents. If i leave SA I will be declared undesirable, I don't know what to do anymore. I work in a very essential service sector. There are not enough people doing my job and i contribute vastly to my profession. Now i'm jobless and have a family to feed. Can somebody assist!! Are there people working at the apeals department. I once contacted Ms Mazibuko but it still didn't help.
