Extremely Unprofessional

Probably the worst visa experience I have ever had, and I have app**** and received several visas before. I app**** for a Long-Term Italian Study Visa for a study abroad program at the Hyderabad office, and I have never been treated so disrespectfully. I was firstly sent the wrong document requirement list by email by VFS Global, and thereafter, had a terrible experience with the VFS officer. I believe their name is V. Konganti. After providing the few missing documents within the stipulated time, the officer went on to disregard the documents baselessly. 1. He demanded I get a hotel reservation to cover the 2 days between my Airbnb stay and my flight, even though the stay was already booked for 4 months, and we are only required to show accommodation for the first month. 2. He misread the start date on my travel health insurance provided by my university for study abroad programs (which does in fact include all health insurance requirements), and thus, decided to disregard the whole document. When I kindly brought the error to his attention, he still disregarded the document. 3. He also imp**** that I could not apply for a Study Visa in India because I hadn't benn in India for the 6 months prior to the appointment. I politely and repeatedly explained that I study in the US, and hence could not have possibly been in India, but I was met with harsh and unprofessional dismissal. He further suggested that I fly to the US (as though it is no big expense or inconvenience) to deal with this issue, or get a letter from the Consulate in Mumbai for an exemption. However, when I went to the Mumbai office, they posed no opposition. 4. He refused to understand why I wouls not be needing a Declaration of Value ofr my visa. I explained that I was simply studying abroad and not actually enrolled in an Italian University, and that I would technically still be studying at my American University, just locationally in Italy, but I was treated with indignance and as though I was ***********. I maintained my composure to an unbelievable degree given how disrespectfully and unprofessionally I was treated. I hope this review can help the mere customer service part of the experience, because this is no way to treat a person who is kindly requesting and paying for a service. I had a far smoother experience in Mumbai, and was treated with dignity there.
