Excitement that turned into Disappointment

I had the worse experience with Vfs Cape Town. I app**** for my short term visa at Denmark on 1August 2022 to visit my boyfriend for the first time in Sweden(the very south of Sweden)with the hopes of celebrating my 40th birthday that is on 17 September with him.This after him visiting me countless of times. Instead of me being excited for my trip I'm left deeply disappointed due to the *********** staff that works at VFS.Not to mention Thousands of Rands waisted!Money I had to save for this trip!After 3 text messages from Vfs with the last being my visa is processed and in transit on the 5th of August to radio silence .No further update.Me calling Vfs almost daily with no proper feedback.Tracking my visa application I don't even want to mention because that system too is faulty!Today 2 September, three days before my supposed flight I get a call from the Embassy of Denmark in Dubai asking why I app**** at Denmark and not at Sweden and me telling the lady I spoke to that my boyfriend lives in the very south of Sweden and I am flying to Copenhagen airport which is a 30 minute drive from where he lives making Denmark my first country of entrance.She upruptly respond oh but I am staying in Sweden ..she will see if she can process my visa or not!I am paying for this service!I am not asking for a favour!Neither am I planning to live abroad !I simply wanted to spend a milestone birthday with my partner!
