Don't trust advice given by VFS

My husband and I have been put through hell due to the inefficiencies and incompetency of the staff that work at these office. On more than one occasion they have distributed incorrect advice to us, told us to apply for a changes in conditions and accepted an application for same whilst we were not permitted to do so, and advised my husband to stay in the country while the application was pending. This has impacted our lives severely (emotionally and financially) as a result of them not knowing how to do their job properly. We did log a complaint on the VFS website but have not even received the decency of a response. My advise to potential applicants would be NOT TO TRUST ANYTHING VFS ADVISES YOU. If you can afford to, rather consult immigration attorney or try to make contact with the DHA directly. VFS is supposed to be an agent of DHA and therefore have a basic understanding of the law and requirements but they are a pathetic excuse for a service and not worth the money that we are forced to pay for utilising them. They will explicitly tell you to do something and when then hide under their "disclaimer".

My advice to VFS: check the quality of the staff that you employ at these offices. Especially the ones accepting and processing applications. They clearly have no idea what they are doing. They should not be giving advice, especially if it is the wrong advice. Someone needs to be held accountable for all VFS stuff ups.

Public protector or carte blanche needs to investigate!
