Application refund

The refund process at vfs is an absolute rip-off and very unreasonable. The applicant, a very old, unemployed pensioner is being charged more than half of the application fee for an application that was not processed. This is R850 out of R1350 paid, because they are treating the incident as a cancellation of an appointment, even though she didn't cancel and came to the office. I'm not sure what kind of administration fees cost R850 for only spending only 5 minutes with the applicant and not even accepting the application. The reasons the caused the decline of her application are not even considered and the applicant is expected to return to her home country to apply and pay another fee and travel costs, and worse, the refund takes 30 days. Shame on you, hope you get richer by taking advantage of society's vulnerable!!
