Agents/touts and also phantom requirements.
I was in the Rivonia office this morning and it is very shocking to see just who exactly runs the place. Despite the signage at the entrance saying VFS is not affiliated with agents/touts the place is full of them. Which would not be a problem except that they jump queues and the VFS staff do nothing about it. My ticket was call for biometrics and an agent/tout had one of his four clients in the room that I was supposed to go in. When done he asked his next client to go, and then told me that there are still 2 more to go. My number eventually disappeared from the screen and this agent/tout kept sending in his clients. This is extremely unfair as every applicant pays for their appointment, why should we subjected to such *******ion. This make it no different from Home affairs. It's like Home Affairs with fancy clothing. VFS need to put control measures in place to ensure that this *******ion is eradicated.
On another note, VFS has to stop making up their own requirements. They always ask for additional documents that are not even listed on the required documents list. I was there to renew, my 2nd renewal, and they asked for documents that was never needed before and I've never even heard of. Stop it. VFS is not DHA it is a glorified courier company and nothing more. If DHA has been approving my permits for years what gives VFS the right to question it, and add more documents on top to make the process harder. Just stop. I've researched online and found that VFS does this in every country where they operate.
