Additional services charged without consent

When I made the Schengen VISA appointment for my family of 5, I specifically selected not to use any of their additional services. I was charged R5,483.30 in total and found that they charged for sms notifications for each member of the family. When I questioned this the Lady told me it is done by the system and that she cannot reverse the charges, unless we restart the entire process. So they charged R100 for sms notifications and this included 1 sms per member!!!
