8 months no communication on outcome of permit app

I app**** for a work permit in December 2014 and was informed that the outcome would be ready in 8 weeks. Eight months (32 weeks) later I have not received any communication or update on my application. I call their call centre weekly but I don't get any assistance as I am shoved from pillar to post. They inform me that the delay lies with home affairs but I would appreciate just an sms informing me about the status of my application so that i stay informed. I have lost a lot of money as a result of this poor service.<br> <br> Somebody help!
