15 months and still waiting for permit!!

On the 9th June 2014 (!!), the day VFS Global opened their branch in Durban I went to apply for my permanent residence permit... I have been living in SA for more than 7 years now, i am married to a South African and I run a non profit trust called Earth Awareness focusing on environmental & wildlife education, community social upliftment & skills development. It's been 15 months since my application and still no result... I called VFS lots of times and was told that they will escalate the matter with Home affairs and called Home Affairs but still nothing! Today we went to see Rishen Lalla, the operations manager at the Durban Branch to get some results as my current temp res permit is going to expire on the 15th November and I am honestly getting nervous now.... When we told Rishen about my application he was surprised to see that I hadn't received my permit yet as most permits from that application period and up to 3 months later had received their permits...! What's happened to mine? Why am I not getting it? Are 15months not enough time to process an application?? Rishen kindly said that he would try and help us with this and I am really hoping that it will lead to a result!
