How long does it take to finalize an Estate?

My late husband passed away on 20 June 2012, After 2 attorneys that couldn't tell me who the Executor is of the late estate.

In August 2017 I saw a notice on someone's clipboard stating that someone at Vezi De Beer is the Executor of the Late Estate of Mr. PD Viljoen.

In November 2017 the smaller house was set up for auction and was sold at the Sheriff's office in Strand, the Sheriff then signed on behalf of the seller of the Late Estate of Mr. PD Viljoen. They sold the house for R 470 000 to Mr. B Fogger. My son and his then housemate was given 2 days notice of eviction. After several attempts to buy said property for himself.

After seeing the Notice in 2017, I contacted Vezi De Beer. Up until this day I have not spoken to the Executor of the Late Estate. I contacted his office several times before someone finally told me that I could speak to Kayte de Beer with no avail. I left umpteenth messages for her to contact me. After just about wanting to give up, I finally spoke to her one day. I asked what was happening to my late husband's Estate. In December 2017 I sold the house that I was living in, as I had no funds to survive.

I have spoken multiple times to Kayte De Beer, only to be advised that no funds were received from the Sheriff's office for the smaller house. She told me that she knew nothing about another house. I gave her all the details that she needed to contact the Sheriff's office in the Strand.

In September 2018 I spoke to her again and was told that the bankrupt Estate was finalized. When I asked her about the smaller house's money, I knew there was still money at the Sheriff's office, she again said that the house belonged to a trust. I told her again that the only member of said trust was my late husband.

Then I sent her all the information again that could help her. Up until now, I have not received any feedback from her or the Executor.
