Consumer Act Breach

I purchased a dog bed which I returned within the hour as it was too small. The bed was intact without damage and the lable attached. Vetsmart did not have anything larger that I wanted. I was then informed that I could have a voucher to the value of the bed. I declined and the assistance stated this was their company policy? I refused and the assistaned called their head office who also haggled and eventually stated they would fax a form to be completed and they would EFT the funds which would be in my account after 5 working days? As a consumer I feel I had the right to have my card credited or cash returned immediately? As a Consumer I have the right to return the goods for exchange or if within a reasonable time for money back. Vetsmart and trying to force customers into purchasing goods by enforcing a "voucher" on returns.

I followed up with a call to Vetsmart HQ in Panorama who refused to budge on their offer of a EFT within 5 working days.
