Horrible/Aggressive Vet

I had the most disgusting experience of my life at Vetclin on the 19th of Feb 2020! Let me start by saying that I've taken all 5 our pets there for a few years and never had any issues. I've never left a vet or dr. due to ill/inappropriate, aggressive behaviour, never thought that I would ever be in that position. We trust that vets are generally compassionate people, with a love for animals, who genuinely want to help… My male dog (Shiba Inu) has been battling with allergies (sensitive skin, hair loss and sores on his body). We saw an elderly male vet (light hair), not our usual vet, however I’ve seen him around meaning he’s been there a while. Anyway, long story short. My dog is aggressive, he is terrified of going to the vet. My husband put Kenji on the table, his heart was beating fast and he was shaking – we still commented on how scared he was. I requested the vet muzzle him based on previous experiences. After being muzzled, Kenji started growling when he approached him. The vet grabbed him by the back of the neck, angrily telling him to STOP IT! I stood there for a short while sort of processing what happened and thought no, he knows better, he does this every day... However, the more he grabbed Kenji (note that sensitive skin is one of the reasons we went there), pulling him by the neck and shouting at him, the more Kenji growled. I told him about the sores under Kenji's chest and he grabbed his front leg, pulling it up high (he was super irritated with Kenji's growling at this point) until Kenji yelped in pain. At this point I told him to get away from Kenji and that I will not allow him to treat my dog this way. The vet told me to "GET OUT" and said, “that dog needs to be taught manners"! When I opened the door everyone in reception was just staring, obviously hearing the commotion as he never closed the back door. I asked the receptionist for his name, she refused to tell me. Just said that this is one of the best vets they have... I guess this is part of the problem, turning a blind eye becomes the norm. This was not okay; this man should not be dealing with animals, especially ones with an aggressive tendency! If he was that comfortable treating my dog in such an aggressive way in front of us, I hate to think what he does behind closed doors when no one is watching. Of course, nothing will be done, and this will just become another “bad experience”, at least I’m sharing it and not keeping quiet!
