Warranty dispute
I bought an Bauer light induction pan on takelot in January. ( see proof on purchase attached).
The pan was only used on my induction stove, at the heat setting that the plate is set on automatically, or at a lower heat level. I’ve never had to set the heat up for cooking, not to be expected for induction plates.
However my pan pulled loose at the bottom, causing it to over heat on a spot off centre. The individual plate has a smart sensor that switches of the stove when uneven heating occurs.
So when I used the pan, the stove kept switching off. So I started to try and always cook at a lower level of heat. However this kept happening and the pan burned on in the patch that was over heating. Also making it loose the non stick coating.
I took the pan in, since it’s not a year old. The pan comes with a one year warranty. However Verimark informed me they will not be replacing it, and that repairs are quoted at about the same price as a new pan.
This is not except able. I’ve had a previous Bauer pan for my electric stove top that was replaced when needed (with in the warranty time) and otherwise recoated at a reasonable price. This left me with no doubt to buy Bauer again when I moved to induction plate cooking, but how I’m terrible disappointed at the moment is the least to say.
The hold up was long to wait to hear it won’t be replaced, leaving me with out a pan and answers unnecessary and now still disappointed and frustrated too.
I’m hoping that you will do the right thing to rethink this and replace the pan under the promised warranty it was bought with.
Induction plates are know to not allow excessive heat, so to offer this as a reason for rejecting the warranty can not be accepted.
I’m waiting and hoping on a quicker response. ***
