Verimark Floorwiz Pro

The Floorwiz Pro sponges don’t last long before you have to go buy a new replacement sponge for the mop. To give you some background about our personal experience with Floorwiz Pro mops: My wife and I have been using our 2 Floorwiz Pro mops since they came on the market a couple of years ago. We take really good care of our belongings including our mops because they come at a price of R349.00 each. We used to replace the sponges of the mops once a year and that was fine, but we noticed recently that the sponges don’t last longer than 2-3 months before it must be replaced, the sponges simply start to disintegrate. We do not use harsh chemicals with our Floorwiz Pro mops only normal floor cleaner as we have been cleaning the past 10 years on smooth tile floors. It has come to the point where it is really not worth it to buy a Floorwiz Pro mop when your sponge starts to disintegrate after only a couple of weeks of normal use. This Floorwiz Pro is a convenient mop that is a drip free all-in-one tool and you don’t have to get your hands wet while cleaning the floor. The patented roller system works well and the absorbent sponge absorbs fluids very well, the telescopic handle with ergonomic design is adjustable. The only 2 drawbacks of the Floorwiz Pro product is as follows: 1. The Floorwiz Pro PVA Sponge life span is too short, 2. The Floorwiz Pro set of 4 fasteners that hold the sponge in place is not rust resistant and will rust within a couple of months looking unsightly. Verimark products are patented products designed and manufactured by Verimark. I know of one instance a couple of years ago where Verimark customers complained about the Verimark Floorwiz Pro Bucket Green, there was a design problem and the users suggested that Verimark replace the 2 handles with a single handle for better water balance and weight distribution, the users also asked that Verimark add a funnel to the one side of the bucket for easy throw out of the dirty water. And guess what, Verimark did the changes on their product and today this is one of the best cleaning buckets available on the market ask any person that uses the new design Verimark Floorwiz Pro Bucket Green, my wife and I love the new improved design bucket. We replaced both of our previous buckets with the new design no more water spills when you lift the bucket and the funnel works great when emptying the dirty water from the bucket down the drain. It must be brought to the attention of the Verimark team to access the situation and to go back to the drawing board - their sponges and fasteners must be replaced otherwise their customers will keep on complaining or start shopping around for different brands that last longer. We are considering not using this product any more. Thank you for taking the time to read my review, I attach a photo’s of our one Floorwiz Pro sponge that only lasted 6 weeks and it is disintegrating, we waisted R79.90 this is not quality guaranteed and we are not happy customers. I say #WIN for Verimark, you guys can do this you have the experience and the knowhow, please show us what you are capable of and get these sponges and fasteners replaced! The Verimark PVA sponge is a synthetic sponge essentially composed of Polyvinyl Alcohol. It is an open-celled, highly absorbent porous material that wicks aqueous solutions quickly. It is compressible when dry, expandable when wet, it is supposed to have high tensile strength and good elongation and excellent resistance to most chemicals. I am in the cleaning industry myself and if I can make a suggestion to Verimark they must replace the PVA sponge and experiment with Chenille Microfiber, it also has excellent water absorbent properties, it is lightweight and is much stronger than PVA and also looks good. The 4 mop fasteners can be easily replaced with stainless steel fasteners for a few cents so no more rusted fasteners.
