unacceptable service

I purchased a refurbished big vacuum / carpet cleaner in one with a one year guarantee. I purchased the machine august last year. I was busy washing my carpets, filled the machines water container, by pouring water in from my kettle, never removing the machines water dispenser. I washed one rooms carpet, and was half way with the next rooms carpet, will the water dispenser with my kettle again, not removing the machines water dispenser at all. I started to wash the carpet again, and the water didn't want to dispense or spray at all. I removed all water from the machine and took it back to parkview, I didnt clean the machine cause I was busy with it. They send my machine in to Kolonade, kolonade service department told me that I \broke the machine""; and I only washed the carpets once;the 2nd time the machine stopped working. I am under impression that I received a \""broken or cracked\"" refurbished machine. They said I must pay R650 to have the machine repaired. """
