Slow to repair after sales

It is most disturbing that when one returns a defective item, that it takes so long to get it back. I bought a vacuum cleaner in November, I returned in early January to Builders Express in Port Elizabeth as the motor was clearly burning out (smoking and smelling like a welding machine). This is the 2nd Vacuum cleaner I have purchased from Verimark. The last vacuum cleaner lasted 11 months before packing up and I only have tiles in my home. I make a mistake in purchasing another Verimark item. I'm told that it takes 21 days for repairs. 21 days??? How is this even acceptable??

Dear Louise, Thank you for bringing this to our attention. We are very sorry to hear about your experience and the inconvenience this has caused you. We understand how frustrating it is to be without your vacuum cleaner, especially after experiencing a similar issue before. Please note that when an item is returned to a retailer such as Builders Express, it is sent in for technical assessment. The standard repair turnaround time is up to 21 working days, as the unit needs to be inspected and tested by our technicians or supplier before a repair or replacement can be approved. However, we would like to assist and follow up on this matter for you. Kindly provide us with your repair reference number or job card number from Builders Express so that we can escalate and get feedback on the progress. We sincerely apologise for the delay and appreciate your patience. We look forward to resolving this for you as soon as possible. Kind regards,
The Verimark team
