Price increase
At the beginning of April I wanted to purchase a Bauer 28cm lid, which I was told was R99 by a staff member at the Hillcrest store. I tried several other stores and none of them had stock. I was also informed that they had no idea when stock would be coming in. I recently went to the Galleria and Hillcrest stores and was told that the lid was now R149.00. I feel that a 50% price increase is exorbitant and plain day light *******. I was advised to call your call centre and complain if I was unhappy. I was assisted by Thabo, who was kind enough to try to justify your increase, albeit unconvincingly. I was not at fault in that when I wanted to purchase the item you did not have stock. I feel in all fairness I should at least be given the item at the prevailing price when I wanted to purchase - i.e R99.00.

As discussed with Thabo, our prices on the Bauer lids have been the same for several years now. Unfortunately as with any other retailer or suppliers of imported items, prices do change and are subject to many factors.
Our records indicate we had ample stock available in the trade during this period. We will thus unfortunately not be able to assist with your request to sell the Bauer lid at our previous selling price.
