Hydrovac Plus extremely damaged

I recently purchased a Hydrovac Plus from the Bayside branch and when I got home I started unpacking. Upon opening the top of the vacuum cleaner to fill it with water, I cut my finger. On closer inspection, I found that the plastic inside (which keeps the water away from the motor) was severely damaged. It looked like someone took a hammer to the edges leaving them broken and sharp. The motor was also just barely staying where it was supposed to. I thought perhaps this was normal and continued to test it out. Obviously there was no suction.<br> <br> We then returned it to the Bayside branch (well within the 14 day period) only to be told that we could have dropped it and they need to send it away for inspection! A child can see that that type of damage is not from a drop. The external casing of the vacuum would be damaged from a drop, which it is not. I can't believe you can sell something so incredibly damaged and broken and then not refund me my R2000 when I return it!<br> <br> Mind blown.
